Scale free topology networks focused on MANET technology
Sehnálek, Adam ; Janovič, Filip (referee) ; Skořepa, Michal (advisor)
The main goal of my bachelor thesis is familiarization with a question of computer network with free topology aimed at MANET technology, or more precisely Motorola MESH. It deals with simulation of influence of bundle number within the network on data transfer using all possible routing protocols in Opnet Modeler. The first part contains description of basic networks with free topology and their characteristics. It devotes mainly to Mesh networks and mostly to Motorola technologies that are described there. All three Motorola network types can be found there - MOTOMESH Solo, MOTOMESH Duo and MOTOMESH Quattro. The second part of the thesis focuses on routing protocols available for MANET networks in Opnet Modeler. Principles and basic characteristics of protocols AODV (Ad-hoc On-demand Distance Vector), DSR (Dynamic Source Routing), OLSR (Optimized Link State Routing protocol) and TORA/IMEP (Temporally-Ordered Routing Algorithm) a GRP (Geographic Routing Protocol) are described there. The closing part of the thesis is dedicated to the simulation of individual protocols and their influence on transferring multimedia data through the network. It includes exact process of making the MANET network, configuration of individual components, choosing the necessary characteristics and after simulation view. It concludes also the final summary of all simulated protocols.
Functionality verification of GRP routing protocol in OPNET Modeler environment
Kováč, Dominik ; Růčka, Lukáš (referee) ; Molnár, Karol (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis "Functionality verification of the routing protocol GPR in the OPNET Modeler environment" focuses on MANET networks question and deals with routing processes in these networks. This thesis includes a theoretical analysis of the GRP routing protocol. Furthermore, there is a step-by-step creation of a MANET simulation model with GPR routing protocol in OPNET Modeler and its subsequent simulations to verify the functionality of the Protocol itself, its parameters and the extension of the hello paket by custom parameter.
The economic costs of conflict: A case study of the Russo-Ukrainian War
Hamráková, Júlia ; Baxa, Jaromír (advisor) ; Bauer, Michal (referee)
Since 2014, an armed conflict between pro-Russian separatists and the Ukrainian army in Donbas has been causing damage to the society, infrastructure, and eco- nomics of Ukraine. This thesis deals with the conflict in eastern Ukraine and focuses on its economic impact in the period from 2014 to 2020. Using the syn- thetic control method and the augmented synthetic control method, on a country level we evaluate the economic cost of the conflict in terms of the GDP per capita of Ukraine and Russia. On the regional level, we estimate the impact of the con- flict on the GRP per capita of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions. Moreover, we look for evidence of spillover effect on neighbouring Dnipropetrovsk region and Kharkiv region in Ukraine and Krasnodar Krai, Belgorod Oblast, and Rostov Oblast in the Russian Federation. While the results indicate a significant gap in GDP per capita of Ukraine attributable to the war, the negative economic effect on the GDP per capita of the Russian Federation after accounting for the price drop of crude oil in 2014 and 2015 is only minor and too insignificant to interpret it with confidence. The findings further suggest a destroying effect of the conflict on GRP per capita of both Luhansk and Donetsk regions. The spillover effect of the war on neighbouring regional...

Regional Disparities in the Russian Federation
Andrusenko, Ekaterina ; Kašpar, Václav (advisor) ; Vošta, Milan (referee)
The Russian Federation is an economically and politically important state dealing with a serious socio-economic problem of inequality in the development of its regions. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze macroeconomic disparities within subjects of the Russian Federation and to explain the causes of their occurrence. Possible ways of bringing the economic development of the regions at the same level are also considered in the thesis. The bachelor thesis deals with the term of gross regional product, demographic trends and labour market, foreign trade, FDI and the federal budget. The subjects of the RF are compared according to these indicators.
